Hi all,

Anyone running a RC350 Tanabe Medalion or aFe Power Takeda 2 Quad Axle Back on a 2017+ IS? If so, how is the fitment?
I remember reading about one member who installed a RC350 Greddy Supreme SP on his IS, but came across some fitment issues.

Recently purchased a Apexi n1-x for my IS350 but the drone was a little bit too much for me, had to go back to stock. Looking for something a bit quieter (mainly the drone), while still keeping the quad tip design. Any suggestions would be appreciated

The owner you mentioned was also using the TRD diffuser not the factory diffuser

 

I've had a customer install RC350 quad tip exhaust on their IS350. Didn't fit the best, but he got it to work on his Toms diffuser.

2017 is200t. Tanabe quad tip for the RC fits fine. I have it installed and it looks great. Resonance inside the cabin was terrible at first but now it's much better. I guess it was just the break in period ?

​​​​​​Another option is to keep the stock exhaust and just change the tips. Megan racing sells quad tips. $160ish for the set.

 

Do you have any pictures/videos of the Tanabe setup? Was looking at just getting quad tips but decided not to modify my stock exhaust just in case I trade the car in one day.

Here is how they look. It adds a nice deep tone. I'd say the sound is as Tanabe advertised. You can still talk regularly to your passengers and listening to music isn't a problem.

I thoroughly enjoyed this exhaust but unfortunately my 3 year old daughter told me it was "too noisy" for her when she is at the back seat. Young ears can definitely hear better so it's no longer installed on my vehicle.
