Default ATI Super Damper Balancer Install

New to the forums, but have been following them for a while now, and I finally decided to join! My car is actually a 98 aristo, so 2jz-gte!

I've been doing a lot of maintenance on my car lately and ran into a bit of a snag. Was installing the crank bolt and was torqueing it to spec and the bolt snapped! It never clicked at the spec either. I luckily got it out and pulled the balancer off. Nothing is damaged so that's good. But I figured the balancer may not have been on all the way. New bolt is ordered.

How can I verify that the balancer is fully seated on the crank snout? I took the balancer hub to get measured against my crank and its within their spec so it didn't need a hone. It went on easily enough before. Would the spec of 243 foot pounds be adequate to ensure its in place?
