Good Evening everyone.

I have a 2009 Lexus IS250 RWD with about 115k Miles on it.

I notice when idling or at very low speed a weird knocking noise from what I assume is my engine. I know zero about cars and haven't had a chance to take it in yet, but I've been doing some research and it seems as though it could be a plethora of things.

Anyone have any insight on this? Also, should I just take it to a dealer? I'm in Los Angeles if it makes any difference to anyone. I am not sure how to describe the sound and the performance of the car seems to be the same as it always has, so maybe it's nothing. I'm just a worrier.

are you experiencing any other systems like a drop in rpm?
how often does it do this?

 

I wasn just driving to my mechanic and my AC and power steering seized up. Lots of coolant leaking.

Needs water pump fixed. Mechanic thinks that the leaking caused everything else to seize up and that replacing the water pump should solve all issues.
