2014 Lexus IS250 AWD
I tried the air intake and cat back exhaust and while it sounds faster it is not. I see chips that claim 40 - 60 hp - I figure this is a bit of an exaggeration but they are less than $200.Any experience or thoughts about this?
Regarding an air intake and cat back exhaust I've done mine purely just for the sound as collectively they only amount to about 10 hp or less. Same as the 2nd gen IS250, there's very little power to be found. Supercharger kits giving about 50hp but costing like 10k, PPE headers giving about 15 for >1k, tunes giving similar gains for like $800... as everyone else would say, if you're searching for power just sell the IS250 and get the IS350.

What he said ^^^don't bother with the 300 either you will still just have the sound but feel like your going nowhere...I had a chevy cobalt pull me today I felt like taking my car back to the dealer and tell them I was only kidding...
Hi Folks - I am specifically asking for chip advice. My friend has a Volvo and they sell Polestar downloads that really change everything and add some nice power and torque. I see a couple of modules that claim to boost power 20-50 hp which I think is impossible but for under $200 I am just wondering.

Nope. I just saw it off OVTuning's site https://www.ovtuned.com/collections/...nt=31958449612 but for the IS350
MFS69, I have the same exact car but Fsport package, JoeZ Intake, Invidia exhaust and Ovtuned. The tune is the best bang for the buck and the only upgrade where I could actually feel the difference. Check out the threads in the Gen2 IS performance section, there are plenty of reviews.
ttsport15, that's hilarious but sucks with your race with the Cobalt. People claim the IS300 Ovtuned will perform the same as a IS350 so I will trade you my IS250 if you are unhappy and I am sure that Cobalt owner would do the same 👍

hi guys and thanks for the advice. I'm an old timer and good with wrenches but I know nothing about electronics. What exactly should I purchase from OV and how does it work?
from reading all posts this exhaust seems really nice. On a 2014 is250 do the tips line up perfectly with the cutouts in the car? I see a lot of aftermarket exhausts where you can tell it is an aftermarket exhaust.
I purchased the 3IS bench tune stage 2 with sport + throttle with the rev limiter set to 7200rpm and I am very happy with it. This tune requires you to remove the ECU and send it to them for programming so you will be without a car for around a week. I believe they now offer a handheld tuner that allows you to program it yourself though the OBD2 which they didn't have at the time I purchased or I would have went that route.
