I have a 2003 GS300 with 98k miles. Recently the CEL came on as well as the VSC and VSC Off lights. OBD2 came back with code P0717 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal. I'm hoping it's just the sensor that needs to be replaced, and I'm taking it to the mechanic in a week. Do you think it's ok to drive on a trip about 200 miles before taking it to the shop? I'm going to get the water pump/timing belt changed then too. So far there's no noticeable performance issues.

 

In case anyone was wondering, I cleared the CEL with an OBD2 reader and drove about 200 miles with no problems. No symptoms, the CEL is still off, but the code is still there. Took it to the shop and mechanic said it's probably just a bad sensor since there isn't any symptoms. Once that is replaced and if it throws a code again, we'll do diagnostics.
