Default P1130 p1150

2000 ES 300

CEL was on, along with the VSC and VSC OFF lights. The 1130 and 1150 codes came up. I cleared the codes and they all came on again pretty quick.

I replaced the sensor in the front of the engine (I can't tell from the posts in this forum whether that was Bank 1 or Bank 2).

And for giggles, I cleared the codes to see what would happen. I figured one of the two codes would return.

Neither did, and neither did the VSC lights.

I've been told the VSC lights can come on as a result of the 1130/1150 codes so it sort of makes sense that they would go away.

But I'm not sure why the code for the second sensor would go away.

I'm happy if I don't have to replace it, but am puzzled nonetheless. Ideas?

The sensor you replaced is the Bank 2 sensor.

Yup, the one in front is Bank 2 sensor 1. We had an issue where we lost overdrive. Pulling the battery for a minute fixed that for at least a week of driving. Then, we replaced B2S1 and that was a few weeks ago and we still have over drive. Some of the codes went away but others replaced them. Go figure! Looking those up now.
