well, i have had my VSC and VSC OFF lights come on, but NEVER w/the CEL. the VSC and VSC OFF lights have not come back on in some time, BUT my CEL came on today it came on by itself and i had the codes checked and i was told the code was P0 141 and that was the code for the 2nd O2 sensor and it was before the cat underneath the car somewhere now what i want to know is if this is a DIY and if so, can someone (anyone) give me some help?? thanks

I have the same CEL code but I havent bothered to replace the sensor yet. HO2S Heater Circuit Malfunction, Bank 1 Sensor 2. It is the sensor after the cat on the first exhaust pipe on the header that is closest to the front bumper.

ok, so i went back to autozone and had a different guy re-run my codes b/c the light went away, but came back... P0 141 is the code and he said its the O2 sensor Bank 1 (what does that mean) Heater Malfunction and he said its the O2 sensor BEFORE THE CAT idk what that means... so which O2 sensor is it?? since there are either 4 or 5 on a 2000 GS300 and what is the part number if anyone knows it

****ALSO**** is this a DIY?? or not??

 

just simply means there are several O2 sensors at different points of your exhaust on both sides...the "cat" they are referring to is you catalytic converter

 

ok... so before is where?? which part is "before" the catalytic converter??
