Up until now with the is350 we haven't been able to properly extract power.
The second gen IS350 is one of the top performing lexus models.
It has more capabilities than all gs350. And is right there with the 3is.

Capable of 0-60 in 4.7 seconds stock with traction off (search youtube there are videos of 0-60 runs of 4.6 and 4.7 all day.) And with bolt on performance mods like PPE headers with ppe/joez true dual exhaust with cold air intake there are even quicker 280+rwhp 0-60 and 1/4 is350.

Now we can tune there should be some true quick n/a is350 running around.
I wont be surprised to see a increase of is350 hitting up the 1/4 now.

With a good intake manifold/ headers/ exhaust/.cold air/ engine and transmission tune from which ever company you choose.
Very quick automatic v6 n/a sedan. These is350 are dig monsters and love to give you good 60ft with meaty tires. They do well even in street trim. So easy to brake launch at 1800-2000 rpm. Love to see one with With 300+rwhp N/A. And the best torque curve you'll see in a 3.5 v6. Will see some mid 12 second is350 for sure.

Supercharging and turbo are also viable options now despite high compression.

Im saving up what I can (got wife and kids)
But I cant wait to buy all the bolt ons and get a tune.

The is350 will be a sleeper for sure. Nows a good time for is350 owners.

what do you guys think? Excited or meh.

I'm personally excited and cant wait to see some guys post up dynos tune who already have all the bolt ons.

Your friendly neighborhood Asian

Bumping an old thread but Tony did you end up going ahead with modding your is350 and taking it to the drags?

i picked up my 2011 is350 f sport around a year ago and started taking it to the drag strip over the last couple of months. Managed 13.595 with full interior less spare and tools, 13.12 stripped interior bog stock not even intake.

Going to start modding it and picked up a used cat back exhaust and deciding on intake (but joez cant be brought anymore) also being in australia getting headers arw difficult

thats pretty impressive. I figured i’d be able to run about a 12.8 after i finally get supercharger and fbo. So excited these cars are finally getting cracked open. I honestly hope they get more popular and someone starts making internal parts so we can lower this compression and get a reliable turbo kit developed. I think this platform is capable of 450whp. Thats my dream anyway lol.

I took my FBO + Tune IS350 to the dyno earlier today and the IS350 made a consistent 293 RWHP and 286 ft/lbs on multiple pulls. It will likely crack 300rwhp on a more generous dyno as the shop owner mentioned that this dynojet tends to read slightly lower than others.

I'll post the dyno sheet once the shop sends a copy to me but in the meantime, here's the dyno video:

Here's the dyno sheet as promised. I'm very impressed with the broad powerband and the flat torque curve.

I just stumbled on this thread today and i thought it would be cool to revive it. I have a 2007 Lexus is350 currently whats done to it is og Lms Air intake heat wrapped, ported tundra tb,urd apdater, ripp coil packs, lightened crank pulley, dry nitrous kit, gutted stock headers, invidia mid pipe, custom 3”-4” single exit axle back to a vibrant muffler, cheap coil overs, 255/50r16 drag radials, and im on mforce tune
currently ive ran my best over time with hawaii weather DA ranging from 1500-2500ft
60ft was 1.8x sec
0-60 4.4 and 1sec rollout 4.2x sec
et 12.6x sec at 108mph
im def not the fastest is350 out there but i can say i race this car at the strip as much as i can for sure
🤙🏽

I'm jealous of your traction. How much were you spraying and what does a typical NA run look like? I have had people suggest that I run a 75-100 shot on my car to make it a bit of a sleeper but I don't want to do the work just to find out I don't have the traction for it.
