Default Exhaust holes

Hello - one of my factory exhaust tips fell off and it was obvious why after seeing the holes in my exhaust pipe. Same types of holes on both sides of the car. I've never purchased tips before. Should I leave the pipes as they are and slide new/longer tips over them or cut off the sections with holes (probably 4-5" in length) and put new tips on what's left of the pipe?

Any advice is appreciate, thanks.

Cut out the holes. Add new piping if needed

Probably but the more you cut the piping the further back the tips are going to be.
