Default Least amount of drone with muffle delete?

Anyone figured out how to get the least amount of drone on a muffler delete?
I read on the other threads, that someone was kind of able to reduce drone by using a smaller diameter on pipe?
Anyone know?

I had mine done for about 3 months but finally decided to put back the stock mufflers back on. The shop I went to ran 2.5in pipes and it had a good amount of drone on uphill driving. Freeway cruising at 70mph had very little drone. City driving however was pretty loud and it sounded like an old car inside. However outside, the sound is an orchestra to the ears.

Do you have a 250 or a 350? I have a 350 with 2.5" piping from axle back and I get no drone whatsoever.
