Default Suggestions on exhaust setups?

Sorry ,this was originally posted in 1st gen by accident. >_<
Hey everyone. So I'm looking to get my exhaust done for my 2006 IS 250. I am looking for the car to have a deeper sound, I really want to stay away from high pitched and whiny or anything extraordinarily loud. I guess I'm looking for more of the "mustang sound" even though I'm sure the engine is not big enough to produce anything close.

ANYWAY, what do you all suggest to achieve this? I've heard a few things...purchase a mid pipe (apparently our car only has one by Invidia) and to get headers.

Does anyone else have any suggestions or maybe links to videos of their cars with exhaust done? Just looking for some ideas here. Thank you!

The deepest exhausts are the Hks Hi Power and Megan racing. They both have n1 style mufflers which usually produce the deepest sound. Pair either with an invidia midpipe and you'll achieve a super deep exhaust note. No rasp either.

No problem bro. Also, no need for headers. They'll bring you rasp. Make sure to check out some videos on youtube too of those exhaust setups.

I'm running an Invidia Q300 full cutback (midpipe as well) and so far I'm liking it, looks close to stock imo and blends well with the car. Backfires when coming to a stop haha. Sometimes would sound like a shotgun.

Is it nice and loud. I'm considering that setup but i'm concerned with it being too quiet lol.

i had the following exhaust on my IS350:
Invidia Mid + HKS Hi-Power
- almost best sounding other than Suruga Speed
-most power gains
- but only drawback is drone...

Invidia Mid + Greddy SP Elite
-looks good
-almost no drone
-not loud unless u floor it...
-but not much power gain compared to HKS Hi-Power and the sound not my cup of tea

ARK Performance Cat-Back
- installin these next week and i will post a review and maybe video of it...

ARK exhaust for 2IS is not a true dual... mine which i will be installing next week, looks like its high quality stuff, and there are 4 of the drone canister thingy (2 just behind the header and 2 at the muffler...), so it definitely gonna hav low to no drone at all ... as for if you want a true dual it will be either custom, Joe Z or Suruga Speed...

Be sure to post a video (take off, low speed, wot, cruising) when you get your ark installed. Seems interesting !

well here it is ARK Performance DTS exhaust...

I gotta say not the best exhaust but also not the worst out there... imo it kinda not worth what they charged for on their website... Initial quality is good nice welds, nice bends and nice piping... they provide metal gaskets, nuts and bolts but SAE also no instruction manual some nuts and bolts do need to be reused like the one connecting to the header, and the spring bolts and nuts for the mid-pipe to the axel back but thats normal... so if you have some rusty bolts better buy some new nuts and bolts and bring out the torch or grinder cuz mine are rust to shxt!... but overall install was pretty easy...

now on to the issues I had..
- tips are uneven one sticks out more than the other..
- mid-pipe will hit one of the floor brace but all u need to solve that is a hose clamp from home depot and clamp it on the axel back's front rubber mount...
- if you are buying this system PLEASE CHECK your drone/resonance cans by the front pipe cuz their is a flaw with whoever that welded that piece on cuz mine leak.. so I ended up taking it to a local muffler shop to get the weld fix...

here is a video i made:
