I know there was some mention of it although I am curious how much difference it will make since it says it is for shift "correction" rather than any "sport" use.

Have you done the "free" mod to your A650 yet?

It's a great mod and free.

C'mon guys.

I did it to mine, I've done a few more too for others. I just did it today on a 4runner too.

Here's the thing, you can buy the "toyomoto" style rods to insert into the accumulators in the valve body - those have mixed reviews - I have a set but haven't used them.

I am tempted to replace the lower (upper) springs in the accumulators with stiffer ones and see what happens.

Sorry for bumping the old thread, but did anyone install the Transgo kit really? Seems like it's just an overhaul kit rather upgrade option, but given its price and the fact that the tranny is at least 15 years old, seems like not bad thing at all. However I wonder if the thing does address the common A650E problems like slow 2-3 engagement and weird downshifts in slow traffic. Or it's rather just a magic cure-it-all stuff that does nothing at best

Ordered one, preparing spare valve body to install it at home. Plan to complete the mod later this summer

I got the Toyomoto shift kit
Only came with the 3 little metal sticks to go under the springs on the VB
Works great, shifts fast as hell and chirps between 2nd and 3rd at WOT

Would love to hear some feedback on Transgo shift kit

eBay, $125, just look up "IS300 shift kit" or "Toyomoto shift kit"
Pretty interested in the Transgo shift kit now that I see it's only $50 more and comes with springs and all

Brand new, 0 miles. Never been used on a car.
I got it from Lextreme
I have maybe 400 miles since installing the trans. Yes, I put a shift kit in a brand new transmission along with a high stall.
