^Did you pop the hood in-between runs? I always do that when at the drag strip.

Unfortunately no, it completely slipped my mind as during the first half of the day, it was raining hard and we were still racing. I popped it open towards the end though, with the engine and fans running (AC off). Probably no damage, but just a nice best practice to follow.

I was actually looking for a while to buy a set of covers just because mine did not come with them when I bought it used. But, after reading this, I love the sound I have coming from the engine with the intake installed so I do not really want to quiet that down at all. Guess I will just clean up my engine bay to make it look good instead of covering it.

If anyone wants CF engine covers, look them up on ebay. They have both sides, front, and matching engine cover...all for less than one F-sport engine cover.

So on the 3rd gen, the driver and passenger side covers are no longer in used. Could be due to the time consumption or......maybe they realized that keeping it on will cause so much heat soak.....

Most likely cost-cutting. Otherwise, they should have removed the engine cover as well to further reduce heat soak.

Saw that, but the fitment looks off all over the place. Specifically the wiper fluid fill up hose.
