Default Wheels on 3IS

I want to put BBS RGR wheels on my is whith the following characteristics
front 18x8 +40
rear 18x9 + 42
I’m not sure that the above set of wheels will fit my car without any changes in suspension.
I don’t want to buy wheels and in the end have problems with rubbing the body of the car, contact tires and suspension components.

Your opinion will that set of wheels fit 3IS RWD?
Inform please which sizes have your non-original wheels.

It will fit. They are pretty close to stock wheel size.

Thanks for you opinion.
However, I have doubt.

He put 5 mm spacers and there is practically no place between the wheels and wheelarch
It means that he reduced the offset form 45 to 40 in front and from 50 to 45 in rear wheels
I suppose that if i put rear wheels 9J wirh +42 offset they will stick out.

He's dropped if I remember correctly.

I ran 18x9.5 +40 with 265/35/18 in the rear before without any issues. Your 9 should have no issues.

Did you drop your car, or make any changes in suspension?
Do you have any photos? Is it possible to have a look at them?

I've read your post - good wheels. Looks great on white 3IS

Saying "without any changes in suspension" i mean that i don't want to install coilovers or make changes in wheel alignment camber.

I don't want to instal coilovers, because in russia very low quality roads and i don't want to have problems with guarantee.
I just wnat to remove my stock wheels put new wheels which i really like without any changes in suspension

I just had 18x9.5 +39 in the rear with 255/40 without any issues. The tires were a bit stretched though.
