Default see this???

Blitz has come up with this spiffy twin-compressor supercharger unit for Toyota and Lexus cars. The unit nestles between the cylinder heads on "V" shaped engines and uses a serpentine belt system (similar to the stock system) to drive the impellers.bump power to 360 horsepower

Very attractive, no doubt very expensive for only 60 hp........surely there's way more potential even w/o beefing up the motor's internals.

that's probably 360 to the wheels...

decent gain, but i bet the kit would cost about $8000

the blitz kit for the celicas aren't cheap either

a problem with those roots type superchargers... especially how these are mounted directly to the intake manifold... is the intake charge temperature.

there's no way to stick an intercooler in there without causing so much heat to be forced into the engine... basically causing detonation and kaboom!

in other words, even though there are two superchargers here in the blitz kit... probably providing enough CFM... but not enough boost pressure because of the lack of an intercooler.

blitz twin superchargers + a healthy shot of nitrous... that'll do it!

I contacted Blitz earlier & spoke to our wholesale rep. He was able to tell me that the twin roots product is still under development in Japan, but they are currently getting about 360ps on the SC430 (I believe the 'ps' translates to crank hp & not rwhp>>>someone confirm please).

The cost is anticipated to be at least $8,000 US, as someone mentioned, and the anticipated release is expected sometime this coming summer '03. I couldn't get a clear understanding as to what engine management system the beta product has or if there will even be one once it is finalized. I also couldn't get any confirm about the availability for the GS400/430, although the Dealer's Blitz catalogue lists a part # for the GS430/LS430/SC430.

Since we are already deal w/ Blitz, we would have the ability to order the product once released for a wanting customer.

Hope this info helps out.

I truly hope it's not only a 60hp gain for $8000, what a disapointment that would be.

Actually, crank vs. wheel horsepower has nothing to do with ps rating.

PS is basically a metric horsepower (also DIN, JIS), while SAE is american horsepower.

360ps horses translates into ~355 SAE hp.

Check out this neat horsepower converter
