Default Reviews on SRT intake?

Hello, I did my research on the SRT intakes, but I want to hear what you guys think. Anyone that has one please pitch in. They say it should give abt 20-22 HP gains, what have you got personally? Is it really good quality? And does it give more power on the high end or low end?

If you did your research, you probably saw people say that it doesn't make any noticeable power, and some people said that they could really tell a difference. Maybe I noticed a tiny bit, but nothing significant...mostly just noise. If you spend $600 on a new one, you will not be happy unless you just want noise; wait until a used one comes up for sale. Average price is around $300 used in good condition. If you look at the dyno sheet on SRT's site, I think it shows a gain of 12 hp.

Well how I heard, there one of the best out there bc, they have a race ecu that comes with it, but there not worth the bang for buck.

It's not a race ecu, its simply a signal converter because their pipe is a larger diameter than stock thus it throws the calibration off on the mass air flow sensor...

Gains of 20 HP, highly unlikely, would love to see the proof...

Yeah. Lot of ppl say they get 20 HP, so far I've seen a 14 HP gain from a dyno.

^ Sounds about right. When i was modding my IS300, i had the car dynoed with the SRT and a race pipe on. It made 197. Stock 5-spd is about 180, minus roughly 5hp for the pipe, so the SRT gained about 12hp.
