Default What exhaust should if get?

Hi! Currently searching for a exhaust for my 2007 Lexus Is250 awd.
Was looking at the HKS hi power exhaust but i think the exhaust tips are too big.... what is your opinion. I was also looking at a catback borla exhaust off a is350, but i dont know if it would fit my is250..... will it?
Thanks for your help!!

Not sure if it will fit. All axle back exhausts fit but nobody makes mid pipes for awd so I don't think the cutback will fit. And I love my hks

There are tons of threads about different exhaust setup here in the performance section

Do you have the HKS hi power? What is your opinion of the size of the exhaust tips?

The HKS has 4.5" tips. I didn't like the look and thought it was rice to have fart cans. But then I wanted a loud exhaust and a local member offered a great deal on it so I got it. I actually ended up liking the tips. It looked very aggressive from behind especially if you're lowered. But now I got quad 4" tips, bigger tips just look better on the IS to me. Just don't get an HKS if your car is stock, I saw a completely stock IS with an HKS and it looked way off.

Since it's a cat-back, it won't. The midpipe on the AWD and RWD are slightly different. But looking at the exhaust, I think it doesn't have flanges that connect to the stock cats so it might require a muffler shop to make a flange for you. If that is the case, they can make it fit with a little work.

Yup, I agree. You need a rear lip to pull off the look , IMO

Install it yourself, its not that hard. Its nuts and bolts.

A friend helped me out and it only took 30 minutes or so. You shouldnt be charged more than one hour of labor if you take it somewhere

this type of Borla exhaust does require cutting of the original mid pipe. If you could cut it off yourself than no muffler shop needed. All the pipes connect together using clamps
