Exclamation GTE swap help 98gs3

Hey all, I own a 98 gs3. Recently purchased an aristo engine to swap. Its been about a week since ive gotten the gte engine, prepping it, removing the ge, along with minor maintenance on it.

What poses an issue with this engine fitting in the engine bay? I've read/searched it seems there are issues with the twin turbos hitting the firewall or heater hoses. Ive bent the heater hose, so that is eliminated. In all of the posts that I have read over the last two months, I could not find one that explained that the firewall needed to be banged for clearance with the stock twins. I am probably two inches too far forward in the engine bay. Any guidance/suggestions would be appreciated from any guys running stock twins. Thanks in advance.

I don't have the funds to go single, (yet) but would like to get the car back on the road.

I have had this swap done on my car (and still running stock twins). To my best knowledge, fitting GTE into the engine bay is pretty straightforward. I am pretty sure there is no need to modify a firewall. The only issue I can think of is a heater hose, which needs to be modified.

Thanks a million. Need to adjust the harness on the rear of the engine. I need about 1/2 inch to get the mounts in the holes.

Congrats on the swap. Dont mind my case. I think mine required a bang because it was a GS430 body. Instead of banging I just went with a single turbo.

vbieds, as an intermediate stage before single turbo conversion, you may want go a BPU route. It gives you noticeable increase in performance whithout spending a fortune.
What is also important, when you decide to go single, most of the BPU parts will be needed anyway.
