Default Topspeed Headers Review

I decided to go with topspeed great warrenty good price and the told me and sent me dyno's of it making 12whp throughout the tq band and hp power band but some have only got 7-9hp but hey for the price you cant beat it they gave me a great deal on 02 extension for the cel !! Shipping took 2 days well packaged everything looks great weld look good everything inside the header completly smooth . As for install i got a shop who's willing to do it for 100 because they never worked on a is250/350 and would like too . I would like to dyno before but do to funding i cant at the moment but heres a couple pics and will update with the install and other stuff within a week

$100 for install is crazy stupid.. that shop is going to be regretting that they quotes you $100 assuming the dont try charging you a lot more. The job is much harder than $100.. it's more like a $600-700 job. lucky you though

Never heard of these either. They're 2 piece headers (per side)???

And the install only take about 2 hours for an experienced mechanic, even if its first time doing it. But $100 is a steal regardless.

Can you take any GOOD pics of the welds on the collector or on the manifold flange? Perhaps some pics of the backside of the welds from inside the manifold flange...looking for good welding penetration of the metal.

Can you get pics of the factory headers also? I just wanna see how restrictive the factory ones are.

Nice, thanks for the posts since I like the PPE headers, but in my project I don't think I have room, these look much smaller than those.

interesting.... @ $200 i would be concerned with quality but its worth giving it a shot. lookin forward to hearing the end results
do you have a 250 or 350? will you run it with cats or without? what exhaust setup are you running?

i love them makes the car feels so much better i feel gains all through the powerband much smoother no cel light so far done a couple of hards pulls and spirited driving and for the sound no rasp very slight drone nice and deep not loud at all i think i can maybe add a invida midpipe and the sound still wont be to loud .. fitment was perfect no issues at all my mechanic was suprised he said they looked really good quality for the price!!! im going to do a dyno next week on thursday or friday also another thing these header do not need to relocate anything like dipstick or o2 sensor.. As for the stock headers they look very restrictive my mechanic also said so !!! i post pics here soon
