Default PPE Headers

I have the F sport exhaust and intake on my car and was looking into getting these headers but I have seen quite a few people say it is incredibly loud with all 3 installed. Is this true and if so what could I do to fix the problem if anything? Thanks

The loudness problem? If you get PPE headers and want it to be quiet just stick with stock headers.

"Loud" is only in the ears of the beholder. No offense, but i feel like the forum is overly noise sensitive. HKS and JoeZ exhausts are some of the loudest two exhausts they make. I have JoeZ exhaust and PPE AND a supercharger whining away and its not overly loud. I can listen to music at a volume of 12 and still think and talk to people. My girlfriend has HKS + PPE and it sounds like a nascar, but its because she has a custom true dual setup on her HKS. haha.

That said... if you're worried about noise, maybe exhaust mods arent for you

Yeah i paid a good bit to get mine installed ... If you can find a lift to use yourself, my gf's mechanic threw her headers on in about 2 hours going from under the car i believe. Mine were installed in about the same time from a different shop

I think I found it on my old statement online: $380 install. I get impatient sometimes and spend unwisely, especially considering I have another mechanic that could have done it for about $100 haha

just install them yourself. It's the midpipe that really quiets the headers down. I tried all kinds of combinations but finally settled back to the stock midpipe with those secondary cats. It takes a lot of the rasp out.

I think that might have came out wrong. I just read from other people how it was way over the top. I love the sound of the fsport exhaust and was just wondering if that would change and if so how much. This is the first car that I have had where I thought about doing this kind of stuff so I am pretty new to this scene.

I agree with that statement. many ppl considered joez race exhaust "really loud" as i was told several times, it seems pretty quiet to me... so quiet that i ordered PPE to bring out the sound

this is probably the best video that really shows off how the headers effect the sound (although video is with joez exhaust but you can really hear the sound the headers are making) as for noise, notieceable change, loud and extreemley aggressive.

so true
my friend here have hks which is apparently the loudest axleback for our cars?
and my other friends laugh at us (just for jokes) cuz our exhausts are so "quiet" compared to their lancer, rsx, civic, m3, c63, etc.
i have tanabe which is even worse lol, waiting on sound upgrade right now
