Default Oem lsd axels have play?

Hi,

I never had torsen lsd before, only viscus and clutch type before.

I ordered a oem lsd from a dismantler and the lsd that showed up had some play int he axels

The stubs could be moved in and out about half inch or so. My stock diff didnt have any play.

The mechanic I had still installed it. and car drives okay, but I noticed on tight turns from a dead stop I feel clunking, almost like a clutch type lsd.

Is this normal to be able to feel a torsen in gauge?
is it normal for shaft play like that? ( no homo)

I have a 2002 auto is300

Thanks in advance

I am pretty sure that is not correct... the great thing about torsens is that under normal driving, you can't even tell it has a lsd...

Thanks,

I ended up taking it out and putting back my oem, I gave up on looking for a used lsd that works.
