IS250 Exhaust Sound
Is there anyway of getting that throaty, crackling noise from an is250 second gen. currently, i have magnaflow exhaust, and it has a deep sound up to around 3k rpm, but after that, you dont really hear it anymore.
i was thinking about an intake but idk if it would help allow for enough air flow to change the sound of the exhaust.
do you think taking out the cat that connects to my magnaflow will do it?
Thanks

Replace you midpipe with an aftermarket one like megan or have a muffler shop customized one for you.
A cheaper alternative is to remove the resonator and just fill it in with a straight pipe. It'll sound louder even at the lower RPM range if that's what you want.
Best one I've seen and heard is F-Sport exhaust paired with Megan midpipe

I agree with ZeroSeven, replacing your midpipe will probably give you the sound you are looking for.
I've heard megan mid pipe with a stock exhaust and it is a decent sound. Megan with a Tanabe is a nice sound. Megan with an F-Sport is a little bit louder.
If not, just try an intake, it sounds simple, but it might also help produce the sound from your exhaust you are seeking. Good luck.

Exhaust Sound
I have a 2007 Lexus IS250 and i was wondering what is a good exhaust to get that has a low sound and stays kind of low when revving up high while driving. I dont have it to be too loud. I honestly would like to have the G35 sound but dont think i could do that. I need a new exhaust since the stock one is leaking a little bit and it is just getting a little rusty lol. If anyone can send me a private message helping me out that would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Tanabe is so quiet. F-Sport, Custom, HKS, Invidia Q300, Megan Racing, etc.
Edit: Nevermind, I didn't even bother reading what the other guy said LOL. Yeah, go Tanabe or Greddy SP Elite. I would go Greddy SP just bc it's a little louder (than tanabe) but dude, I could barely hear anything when I had it so I sold it.. Even with an invidia midpipe too

+1 on the intake. Or do what i did and cut a hole in the lower stock air box. It basically is the cheap way of creating the Fsport lower intake. I have magna flow's as well (but i have a true dual with two baby resonators) and they quiet up around 3k rpm... but when i gas it at 3k the intake opens up and gives a super mean throaty sound. thats my favorite sound the car makes. 2nd and 3rd gear pulls starting at around 3k rpm

Takeda intake (its the loudest of the selection) + ppe headers (order hi flow cats from ppe as well!) for growl, no rasp
- the intake is super easy to install yourself (theres a tiny box-module thing in the way, anyone who's done it can tell you that you literally move it over lol) , but headers and the cats are difficult to install on your own as you need to get under your car and have sufficient working space.... you will likely end up at a shop, so labour cost is something to think about.
