IS350 Revision S/C
Are you tee'd inline with the evap clicky valve? They had the same setup in my scion tc with the trd supercharger and I changed it over to a much bigger and more isolated vacuum source also. I thought my bov became slightly more responsive after that change over, but might have just been in my head, i had an hks ssqv.
Hey bro, thats good news! I'd like to see you DIY as I can be of any help you might need and save you some $. I completely understand the convienance factor with the shop though.
I would likely advise them or get their input around adding a better port on the intake manifold for pressure though. I think I'm going to tap one similar to Elias above!
Just tell em to look at my pics, I gave you the same spacers I had machined for the studs and the 2 tensioner pulleys. Its all together on the bracket but they'll have to undo it when installing of course. Take pics!

Either way, money is only money, people will hate that i'm doing this regardless, but i cant wait.
Man, I'd love to save the money and i know i could get it done, but i've just been lacking motivation these days to get in the garage... haha its too damn hot and humid in houston. I just would hate to have it half installed over the weekend and be stuck somewhere and have to burn days off from work. The piece of mind of everything being installed properly is worth it to me. If it wasnt my daily, I'd tackle it, but since its a daily, i cant risk my level of work failing me opposed to higher level work by my shop.

it will hopefully be quite the wild ride after this addition. FedEx failed to deliver today though so a Friday/Saturday install is in place. And yes, my shop thinks it'll take more than one business day, I think they can do it in a day tho! save up and buy it off me when I part out one day in the distant future... Haha
I have my BOV tee'd into the same line as my MAP sensor. I'm running 3/8 line to both. I then tee to 1/4 line at the BOV to ports A&B.
I'm using the 3/8 factory port on the manifold.
This type of BOV is piston driven and is ALOT more **** about input source.
Also, I have tried to vent the BOV and end up with the same issue's. I always repipe back into the intake.
I'm thinking the issue may be that your blowing off after metering the air. Where is your BOV placed, before or after your OEM MAF?
If after you must repipe or get the anti-stall kit.
The issue has to do more with fuel trim and cam timing causing flutter in the manifold.... this condition is caused by the lack of metered air in the intake manifold for the corrected cam timing.
With the HKS Fcon I have full control of cam timing and still couldn't stop the flutter.
If your blowing off before the OEM MAF then this ^^^^^ is null and void, proceed on sir!

Thanks. Yeah, thats why I was hesitant to repipe...my bov is Before the MAF - this is my common practice or petpeeve when it comes to Toyotas. Also, when I tried connecting ports a&b on the synapse the thing made my car sound like a Train chu chu chu puffing air out. Maybe I didnt give it a fair chance and should revisit?
Right now I'm in port A only on the Synapse.

Another thing I considered was just running 2 HKS bovs. I read a lot of the old issues with the HKS bov were related to it not being able to release enough air for the amount of CFMs a S/C pushed out. Two of them would seem to help with that issue..
