While I was looking over my GTE I found this nipple and i have no idea what it is for and what needs to be hooked up to it! Any help would be appreciated.

I believe that's the coolant drain. Is this the 2jz block?

Yes sir, turn the bolt and watch it pee.

But like Burton said best to just not mess with it. If it's as crudy as the rest of that motor looks it may not seal completely when you tighten it back up and then continue to slow drip..

The motor is actually really clean now, it looks cruddy due to the combo of degreaser and some stuff I got from the hazmat center on base. It actually cleaned up the engine really well.
So I dont need to run a line from the nipple to anything? Just leave it the way it is? It looks like there was a line on it before? Im just asking again because once the engine is in its going to be really hard to reach it from behind the turbo exhaust flange.

Thanx guys!

Mine looks exactly the same. You can leave it as is.

There is just a nipple so if you were to use it to drain the block you can put a piece of hose in it down to a bucket to stop it from getting all over the motor. There was no hose installed from the factory. It's easy enough to get at it under the car on a lift, and worse case you'll just drop the downpipe with a couple bolts.
