Default supercharger for my is300

I'm thinking of getting a supercharger for my 05 Is300
only thing is that it's automatic and I want to put in something that'll give me power that the engine could handle right now. the car only has 97 k so at some point later down the line I will do a swap. and if not getting a supercharger then just going in an exhaust system and keeping it classy :-)
what does everybody think?

First I would do a compression test to see if everything is good and worth boosting. After you get the numbers then start looking. How much power are you trying to make? Their isn't alot of supercharger kits out there anymore and you would pretty much have to piece together a kit. What is your budget on this? its alot of things to factor in. Will you be doing the install or having a shop do it? The list goes on and on haha. Supercharging and Turbo gets very expensive so if your pockets aren't ready for it then I would just do an exhaust and be classy like you mentioned.

I'm not looking for too much power right now so I slowly want to build up for it. the first things first I'm actually getting coils first then I was for sure going to get a exhaust soon after that I was actually going for a turbo or supercharger. I have a buddy who does side jobs right out of a shop so that would cut the price of installations from shop substantially. what I really wanted was to turbo but since it wasn't right now I figured that would cause problems, unless im wrong?

what kind of swap are you talking about? if you are going to go turbo down the road, why would you waste your money on a supercharger kit? you won't be able to use much from that kit on the turbo kit. Save your money and just do it right the first time...

Superchargers on these cars wont make nearly as much power as a turbo. Driftmotion or Suprastore sell "budget kits" that are made in china, but they work, i would just change the wastegate for a name brand tial or turbosmart. DM sells for $1500 and use a garrett turbo, and suprastore sells them for $1800 i believe. add this kit and aem fic controller and have a decently quick car for a cheap budget.

there are no companies selling superchargers right now. you'll have to piece together a custom kit or buy a used kit.

IMO turbo is the way to go on a 2JZ.

Since engine dosnt have a turbo now, would all i have to do is run a compression test to see if i could turbo it?

No. compression test every cylinder. Then have a cylinder leak down test done. if these are withing factory standards, it will be ok to turbo the engine. if they are below more than 3% of factory, id play it safe and tear the engine down and rebuild. My old SC300 got 9 pounds of boost, engine was within factory spec and boom it went bye bye. The only reason it went by is bc it had over 165000 miles on it when i boosted it. it just took out the rings. so play it safe, do it right.
