Hmm....thinking of the Joe Z Intake with the F Sport Lower Box and Filter. Don't like the polished look of the F Sport (could get it powdercoated) and would like to support a CL member!
If I get the lower F-Sport box from Sewell, to use with the Joe Z Intake.....I don't need to get the hardware kit right? I'm thinking the hardware kit, is just for the pipe (clamps, couplers etc.) correct?

Getting a Joe-z intake delivered in a few days. I think it says in the instructions that the ECU needs to be reset so it can recalibrate the increased airflow. I recall Kurtz saying in another post that the ECU constantly adjusts itself so resetting is not needed. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi!
After installing my Air Intake (Blitz) the car made some funny things, it seemed to go all nuts, beeped twice like when the stability control kicks in. And felt swishy for a brief moment. This happened when I stepped on the gas a bit while driving out of the garage who fitted the air intake. Never happened again after that. Rash had the same experience installing his air intake. Maybe the ECU/car got used to the additional power/air flow and adapted to it. So, yes, it will adjust itself.
Your next battery change will do the resetting in any case ;-)
So long,
K
