Default F-sport cold air intake

Did anyone install the f-sport cold air intake on a 07 gs 350

I believe "I8ABMR" installed this option....and didn't like it at all. I'm personally thinking about installing the K&N Typhoon cold air intake (69-8702TP). Supposedly adds 18 HP at 5300 RPMs, and sounds better than the F-Sport.

I will take on anyone with any bet, if they can prove to me that a open type (Cone Filter) system on a Naturally Aspirated car will yield any HP gain!

As a matter of fact, you will lose power after your ECU adapts to the extreme IATS heat soaks.

Dyno your car stock, then install the CAI, drive for 300 miles, and dyno again! You will lose at least 5hp!

My K&N intake came with a dyno chart saying that the IS350 they tested gained 8.4 horse power. My input on that would be that I didn't feel difference, expect the nice sound.

I agree with you. How can these things benefit without a fresh supply of cool air. Under the hood is non-circulating warm air from the engine. That won't help.
