maybe have a couple towels handy so you won't scratch it and gloves so you won't get grease on it. Like you said, make sure the bolts are tight and the gaskets are in place.

It helps to use WD-40 or some other lubricant on the rubber hangers.

What brociouz said. I really think the hangers are the most difficult part of the installation.

So to take out the stock exhaust by first removing it from the midpipe then the hangers. And for the fsport I first put it on the hangers then midpipe?

let the bolts soak in WD-40 or Liquid Wrench over night... tap it a few times then spray again to make sure it seaps into the threads. When you remove the bolts the next day, it should be pretty simple.

It's pretty straight forward if you already installed other exhausts. It's pretty much the same...

Brociouz gave a very good tip... lubricate the hanger so you won't struggle sliding it in and out... (this sounds so perverted)

If it seems crooked (one exhaust lower than other), loosen all the bolts... then tighten it from the exhausts then midpipe... work your way slowly back and forth... finally tightening at the midpipe. You have to play around with the bolts to get it right. With F-sport it should be pretty much good to go, so you don't have to worry fitment. I have to play around with my Tanabe to get it centered and balanced.

^ Yeah, if you soak with wd over night it's a breeze. It only took me 15-20 for the swap, but i have a tanabe if that make a difference.

But i do have one concern. when i was tightening the f-sport y-pipe to the midpipe i tightened all the way till the bolt ended. and i wasnt even turning hard. the screw just stoped moving at the end of its ridges, any else notice this?

put a little bit of anti-seize on the bolts. just incase you go back to stock or swap out for different exhaust. if your exhaust looks crooked after installation, loosen and retighten starting from the front and work your way to the rear. where in geogia are you from?

an axle-back is 15 minutes on car ramps in a home garage.... a real shop with a lift and air tools should be even easier (though probably the same 15 minutes with getting it on/off the lift).

I could maybe see a shop getting 30 min labor for the work instead of 15 just to be extra super careful with a nice car... but $100 is nuts.

Good point, thanks. I'll try to argue with him, although it's hard to know how much they charge hourly so I can ask for a more reasonable price ...

Sorry to be off topic, but on a Side note, does $180 for install H&R sound reasonable ?

Thanks
