a few months ago my check engine light came on, so i went and had my oil changed. It went off, and when i got my oil changed yesterday it was off and everything was fine...i done the same thing i always have before except i used a different oil filter. I usually splurge and buy the k&n oil filter for the heck of it. It has never let me down, but yesterday they did not have any so i had a purolate oil filter put on it instead. It was fine til this evening when the check engine like came out. it was ideling a lil funny right before it came on. i just had my greddy pe exhaust put on the car, but it is driving fine. i have a srt intake and ecu as well. i put 93 octane gas in it always, belts are new. any suggestions. i have new spark plugs i want to put in soon when i have it serviced. i am going to take my battery off tomorrow to reset the ecu due to the new exhaust i had installed. please someone make me a suggestion, and also any advise..thanks alot bryan

 

ummm... have you tried tightening all the wires inside the engine bay? All the connectors and stuff? It's worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet. Sometimes it can be the simplest things, and you're going to kick yourself if it is... I found that out when the same thing happened to me a couple of days ago. Best of luck to you.

 

i got underneath my hood, and i saw for one thing...that my srt intake filter poped off the tube!!?? i was like huh...but anyway i unhooked my battery, and left it off for bout 30 minutes, hooked everything back up properly...presto...no engine light...all good now...thanks
