Default ELECTRICAL ISSUE...HELP...Freekin' HATE electrical probs.!

a little back ground...

Battery is in trunk, been there for 5 years, never had a problem like this, i usually have no problems as i run a custom madee 6 volt solar panel on the rear window Deck to keep the battery topped up when i park it for a few days or a week or so if i am traveling....

I parked the car to clean it up a bit after a storm & 2 days later the car was dead.... i plugged in the charger & it showed a charged batt...??

i figured the charger was old & acting up so i plugged it in & let it roll... later same day i checked & it looked like the charger was not working as the car was still dead....

so i plugged in another charger & it too said the bat was charged but i had a dead car so i plugged it in anyway....

i have a kill switch in the trunk that disconnects the power line to the car if i need to Vs undoing a battery cable... i turned the thing "off" to let the batt charge properly & isolated from the cars electrical system

when i turned it back on again the trunk lights lit up AND THEN DIED AFTER ABOUT 4 SECONDS... the car is dead, no power...

i figured the batt must have a dead cell... so i pulled it & checked it.... no problem Full 12.97 volt charge!

THen i plugged in another battery i know is good and i got the same thing.... No electrical power to the cars system..... it is as if i have the "kill" switch turned "off" to isolate the battery but it is not working even when i turn he switch to "on" i have checked the switch and connections etc. and every thing looks fine, no melting no shorting i can see..... some times the trunk lights will flicker when i turn the kill switch to 'on' but they always "fade" out not just shut down instantly like usual....its like they get a shot of juice that then immediately drops to nothing whithing a second or two..... then jiggling the switch does nothing at all... turning it on / off does nothing...
