99 GS3 34K mi - jerks moving slowly in Reverse
Group,
I noticed that my GS3 jerks while moving slowly in reverse. I was told by the Service Manager, that this was normal for the GS3's. Has anyone experienced the same problem? I noticed it more while turning the wheels when backing out (slowly) of a parking spot. He did not want to note this on the service records as being a problem. I think this is a problem. I will go to the Owner of the Dealership if I have to. I want this noted as normal for the records.

cpx,
I haven't noticed this on my GS or in any others I've ridden in.
I'm assuming the jerking issue is very noticable in your car... Why don't you get the service guy to ride in yours in reverse, then get in a showroom car from the lot (or a CPO GS) and drive it in reverse to see if it does the same thing. It'll either be there or not.

bringing this back from the dead.
honest to god i did one search and didn't find this thread until after i posted the exact same problem... now after making a second pass i found this older post.
CXP2001,,, did ne1 find out what the problem was? i have the same thing happening to me... it jerks while moving slowly in reverse.
i have a 99 gs400, but 63k mi. the sugggesting of resetting the ecu had no effect.

This is an old thread. I did not investigate any further. I exchanged the GS3 for another GS3 same year and did not have a problem. This was one of the things on the list that i gave to the Dealer. I still have the 2nd GS3 and never noticed the problem with this one. I really think it was the car. It was a CPO car as well.
