Default F Sport questions

Hi everyone,

I did a search but couldn't find anything...Couple questions about F sport exhaust and intake:

1. How do these affect your fuel efficiency?
2. I saw a video somewhere with before and after F exhaust and intake but couldn't find it now... does anyone know where it is? I wonder how loud it is ..
3. What is the overall gain in hp? I think intake is 5% and exhaust is 10%?
4. What else do we gain besides the sexy noises? ^^
5. Dealer said my extended warranty (I have 8 years) can only apply to these parts if they get installed by the dealer. Should I get the dealer to install them or a shop to save money?
Thanks !

1. Same. It all depend on your driving habit.
2.I don't know.
3.0-5hp for intake and up to 7hp for the exhaust
4.looks?

This is the video that convinced me to get the F-sport..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb_d5iuSvU8

Fuel efficiency and horsepower is a little better, but mostly its for sound and looks. Just YouTube if you want to find clips of drive bys with the exhaus&intake paired together!

Correct (assuming Lexus in Hawaii has access to other Lexus USA accessories).

THNKS! That sounds so nice Would the F intake contribute to more sound?

1) I dont think it affects your fuel efficiency. Mine has decreased slightly since I want to hear my exhaust more often though :P
2)When I test drove a 250 with a Fsportexhaust.. it was really loud for some reason.. but for the 350 its just right for me. The exhaust doesnt really have a drone, even on the highway unless you go 80+ MPH, you will hear a slight "hum" but with music itll be gone. Uphill can get loud, but youll get use to it . oh and of course hard acceleration is loud but isnt that why you want an exhaust in the first place ? haha.
3) Intake is max 5 hp.. and exhaust max 7?
4) other than noise, the exhaust makes the car look sexier thats forsure.
5) these are just simple bolt ons, nothing can really go wrong.. but if you want that peace of mind, just buy it off sewell and bring it to the dealer to install.

Thanks for your input and review! Really helpful!
Do you have intake as well? Exhaust alone is good, but I heard intake + exhaust on youtube, and sounds a bit too loud for me.
For some reason I can't really tell any difference between F exhaust and stock exhaust.. what's the main difference?

Intake only makes sound above 3+rpm.

Do you have a 350 or 250?
which part of Ca are you in?

Cant tell the difference from looks? o.o haha its pretty different.. its a lot bigger than stock exhaust, stick out more!

Neither will change fuel efficiency unless you change driving behavior.

if an intake gave you better mileage it'd come on the car from the factory so the OEM could improve their CAFE numbers.

And don't pay a dealer to install these- the intake takes maybe an hour if you go really slowly, with just a couple simple hand tools, just by raising the hood.... 30 minutes if you've ever swapped an intake before... the exhaust is 30 minutes also going slowly if you back the car up on to a pair of ramps and have a couple wrenches....15 if you've ever done an exhaust before... Both are very very easy to install.

Dealer will hit you for at least a couple hundred bucks for that.

I see, thanks. I was just not sure because the couple hundred bucks that dealers charge for installation might be worth it since I have 8 yr extended warranty. But if these don't break then I guess that won't be necessary.
