the app torque pro also can read the jobd ecu with a $13 bluetooth dongle. reads codes, realtime data etc

 

You got this working with the Jdm vvti ecu?

Could you list the parameters that can be seen, and is the data reliable?

 

Update....The greddy informeter touch only gives a count of how many engine codes are present but does not give the actual code number

I recently just got my Torque app working on my car the other day with a generic bluetooth OBD2 device. I'm in Australia, and our cars don't seem to be OBD2 compliant like that in the USA, so I assumed that we're still using the original Japanese diagnostic protocol.

Anyway, someone had managed to find a way for the app to communicate with their Japanese JZA80 TT ECU, so I thought I'd give it a try on my car.

To my surprise it actually worked, and I can get live data from the ECU now. I've only tested basic gauges, but all seems to be fine.

2001 GS works normally.
2002 GS swap.
- The app is not working on this car so far.
- I did the Very Advanced section addition.

Tachyon toyota obd2 dingle opting for kwp toyota in the settings gives fuel trim air flow etc etc. Map pressure air intake temp etc. Those that I remember in addition to basics like ignition advice throttle post etc Also does proper DTC sentences. Android software and windows also which I never got to work. Android works fine except sometimes it unexplainable disconnects and you have to click connect.
