Default F-Sport Intake and 07 is350

I have an 07 is350 with:
1) 64 SMD fog lights
2) 12 SMD parking lights
3) Daytime running light mod with 64 SMD
4) All interior LED's - dome lights, map lights, etc
5) trunk led light
6) lip spoiler - bought on ebay came painted looks factory very nice
7) blue led puddle lamps - these are cool
8) Red calipers with lexus decals on front, rear red calipers with "L" logo
9) F sport shift ****
10) Lexus seat belt pads on all 4 - get these on ebay great, inexpensive purchase
11) Rear bumper lexus applique - great mod i like the little touch
12) clear courtesy lights and led on front doors
13) Sewell exhaust tips
14) f-sport cold air intake
15) red out rear decals

The car has 28,000 miles and is mint. will get some pictures up soon., however i wanted to say that the most recent and first real engine mod that I did was the f sport intake. I did all the work myself on the car. But, if you have an is350 you must, i mean must get a cold air intake system. it changes the entire driving experience of the car and feels like you have something that sounds a lot meaner than the played out g37. The car literally comes to life, it gives it a serious set of *****, trust me. It feels a little faster, but most importantly it breathes a lot better and sounds mean. makes you wonder how you did without it before. There are a lot of threads out there but i gotta stress, if you have an is350 without joe or f sport or k&n cold air, you are missing out. It is normal for the check vsc and engine light to come on after install, after a few start ups it goes away if you install correctly and you are tight with your work.
Thats my two cents

I drove a is250 loaner that I swear had the f-sport intake and now I can't wait to get one for my 350... AND this post totally sealed the deal.

there is no true "cold air intake" for the 2is. everything has either been a spin on the short-ram intake design or a replacement of the oem pipe/airbox.

if the car feels faster, how much faster? or is it just the placebo effect of all the effort of installing an f-sport product?

actually, had the battery been disconnected prior to installation, the check VSC and check engine lights would not have lit up.

glad to hear that you are a happy 2is owner, but just wanted to address a few "inaccuracies".

just so everyone knows, if you lift your hood you'll see the hood snorkel ontop the grill, thus it is a cold air/ram air intake already, if you put those type of cone filters on where the air box should be, its no longer a cold air intake since it now draws air from the HOT engine bay...

now changing the tube from the airbox to the throttle is a different term altogether and should not be confused by calling it a CAI~

AND~ did you guys know they make larger throttle bodies for our cars

Default actually

actually the computer is constantly taking readings through the engine. i was told it was perfectly normal for the check vsc light to come on because the computer learns the new set up, then it adjusts and the light goes off. whatever the case, the stock sound on the car is nothing short of the camry. when you add the intake, you now have a sports car, and it changes the entire driving experience hands down.

^^^ No no no, I disconnected one side of the battery as per instructions and my VSC light never did come one.

The car is not more of a "sports car" than it was BEFORE the install of the F sport intake. Takes more than an intake that gains less than a few hp to make it a SPORTS car IMO. I found no difference in power or driving experience other than a slightly different but additional sound past 3k rpm. Sure it looks cool when you open the hood but I hardly open the hood other than to wipe down the inside or check fluids.

This was my biggest regret in terms of modifications. I could have put the money toward something that would pay off better in the long run.
