Default Intake Dimensions

does anyone know what the dimensions arre for the fsport or joez intakes? They look to be 3" tubes w/ a 45 degree bend. Correct?

But how long are they? And what's the size of the nipple pipe that sticks out?

Was thinking about a custom DIY project for grins!

I know the joez is fairly inexpensive, but wanted a custom look.

Would it help if I post this? I think I have a general sense of dimensions having measured my stock, but want to be as close as possible before I have my pipe fitted for me. I'd take any f-sport or joeZ dimensions please!

Sorry for the confusion, that's what I'm asking. Dimensions from someones intake tube.

So to clarify, I'm looking to have a custom intake built and would like to model it after an fsport or joeZ tube, but need the exact dimensions.

I have a general sense, but looking to the forum for some exact numbers and info share so I can have one cut precisely. Make sense?

so you're looking to copy someone else's design? but not pay that person for their design. Instead, you'd like to spend just as much to get one custom made from a fabricator I'd assume?

I dont get it......if you want a joe z or the f-sport....buy the joe z or the f-sport. You'll end up spending more money to go your custom route.

I was looking to customize mine and it's sounding like I can have mine done with 1/2 the price of a joeZ.

Nothing malicious going on here, truly. Wasn't trying to "copy" someone else's design or to mass produce it or something. I mean, there's not much to the "design". It's a simple 3" tube with a bend. I was just looking to have a nice fun side project that comes out custom for me.

well I know first hand that the proper aluminum alloy + labor to MANDREL bend it is significant. Which is why I say you'd be better off getting the one thats already been through all the testing....

yeah, thanks for your input. And that's what I initially thought as well and nearly gave up. However, I was recently able to find a place that sells high grade aluminum tubes (same as joeZ) that are pre-bent and for around $15! That's just for the tube though. So i'd still need to drill, weld, apply finish and do my customizing. But I think I should easily be able to do for under $75 shipped! And quite honestly, I enjoy building my own too! It's a bit of a challenge which I like

I've been watching your awesome cold air intake project! How's it coming?

Alright, screw you guys! I folded and just ordered a Joe-z! After doing more research, I came to find it's not a 45 degree bend at all! Anyway, what started out as fun and challenging, quickly turned to difficult, and therefore annoying.

Well it's not easy when people won't share info! Lol.

No, in reality, it came down to a custom bend over a 45 degree for me. You can get some nice aluminum on a 45 for cheap. Anything less and people freak out and need to call manufacturers. And just boiled down to, "what's my time worth?". JoeZ won. Thanks for makin it an easy decision joez!
