Given Sikky doesn't make headers for the ISx50 I'm going to go with PPE.

My understanding is that the Sikky team is going to introduce headers for the IS350 soon.

I just emailed them...

Hey,
*
We have had some in testing, trying to get them finalized and ready for shelves. We have no eta on these yet though, but we're working towards getting them*completed and ready to roll. Thanks for your interest in Sikky products.

Hopefully the cost of these will be more competitive.

Kurtz, does a ~50whp gain from headers alone on an IS-F seem a little high to you?

ISF headers for $1,250 for 50 whp is $25/whp while the Joe Z intake is $125 for 5whp which is the same $25/whp. Comparing this to a Joe Z exhuast with cats for $1,700 that gives roughly 15 whp, that comes out to be a whooping $113/whp! If those prices are right, $825 average for probably 30 whp (the same as PPE I believe), you are looking at a very good $27.5/whp. Double that though since installation is going to be roughly the same costs.

Lastly, it's not like we have a lot of choices for mod parts. Until there are a lot more easily installable supercharger or turbo kits, we are stuck with intake, headers, and exhaust only.

Seems quite a lot high to me, but I have pretty limited experience with the IS-F engine (which I assume is where those #s are from?)

50whp from headers and a full exhaust would seem more reasonable from my personal experience on V8s, but those were (larger displacement) domestics.

Realistic numbers for the Sikky headers on the IS-F is 40whp. The combination of the headers and catback such as the JOEZ yields approximately 55-60whp total gains over stock. Unbelievably true and has been proven over and over again. Unfortunately for you IS350 folks you won't find that much hp on the table.

40 isn't as unbelievably high as 50 (I've personally seen 30ish with only headers on stockish V8s myself, and as I say 50ish with an exhaust on the end of it, but again totally different motors- OHV not OHC, 1 cam vs. multiple, etc) but it does suggest Lexus did a surprisingly crap job on the OEM exhaust manifolds for the F.
