Given it's 2-3 times the price of the Tanabe for the same hp gains it should be... which is why the Tanabe, while slightly louder, is so commonly given as the answer to this question... because a much larger # of folks are running it.

FWIW though the Fujitsubo rates at 83 db and the tanabe is listed as "under 93db" (so probably 92.9)

The Tanabe is very quiet and has a nice deep tone. It's not loud at all... I actually love the sound. People actually think I have a stock exhaust from the sound There's barely any drone as well.
Anyone know where a 5zigen would fit in from quite > loud ?

well the question was which one is the quietest exhaust. Also im sure that tthe people that answered tanabe, did not know that fujitsubo actually even made an exhaust for the IS. I was just giving the OP the correct answer, instead of just posting without doing proper researching or knowledge.

Stock is the quiet. My family said it sounded like an electric car lol. IMO if you want to modify the exhaust and wanted something quiet for the price, tanabe all the way. Fujitsubo if you just wanna be different and got the cash to throw at.

Thank you all so much. I want it quiet because my mother will be riding with me but when she's not with me, and I step on it, I want a nice deep tone. I see the tanabe will do that for me. Thanks again everyone!

This is somewhat inaccurate, depending on if you're looking for it to be quiet inside vs outside the car.

To my ears, the F-sport exhaust is less bassy than the Tanabe, which in turn makes it less annoying on the ears....also the f-sport is quieter at highway speeds, but not at WOT.

Both me and mdgrwl had the same impressions going from Tanabe to F-sport.

Read my sound observations here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...ervations.html

And read mdgrwl's sound observations here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-part-2-a.html

I went from Tanabe on a sedan to F-sport on a vert. Mdgrwl went from Tanabe to F-sport on a sedan, so his observations may be more applicable.
