DYNO: Before and After PPE Headers
don't see mods in your sig, but if you had intake and an axleback I'd expect 275-278...maybe 280ish with a midpipe too or a full exhaust.
4th is the correct gear to dyno in because it's 1:1 for the transmission... snow mode is so it's less likely to downshift when you floor it.
Important Note: He said the mixture was around 12.7 up high. And if I can make it run a little leaner I could get more HP. So maybe higher octane gas would do the trick.
He said some "LUCAS OCTANE BOOSTER" would work.... So I told him, lets put it on my car, test the car on the dyno, and if it doesnt add at least 5whp, The dyno session will be FREE along with te Lucas Octane Booster.
So Ill be going to the dyno again next week.
BTW anyone heard of this "Lucas Octane Booster"?

WTF does octane have to do with AF ratio?
Octane is a measure of a fuels resistance to detonation. It has nothing to do with how much fuel the engine is mixing with the air it's ingesting.
Your car is programmed for 91, without pinging higher octane will improve nothing.

Most of it, when it says "raises octane 8 points!" on the bottle means 0.8.
So you'd be running 91.8 instead of 91. Which did I mention is useless?
Anyways maybe hes saying the car could run a little leaner with better (higher octane) gas. I dont know why, since on the "Before session, the mixture was 13.4 with the same exact gas.
so what would be the reason the car is running richer now?
true
