Default GS430 oem mufflers vs GS3

Hey guys, I have some axle back OEM mufflers off of my GS430, are they any different then the oem GS300 mufflers? (besides the tips?)

my brother has a gs300 and was wanting to throw them on his car, they where cut off though so would it even be worth him paying a place to weld them on?

thanks

well the mufflers and tips are the same part #...so the mufflers will be the same for sure, idk why the tip would be diff unless they are after market tips.

Well if he has a 98-00 GS300, then the tips would be smaller than that of the 430s tips. 98-00 tips are smaller compared to 01-05 tips, on any of the models.

I just looked at the part number for every year on sewell, and they are the same. you think they just use the same replacement?

Hrmm that must be the case, because my 98 had smaller tips then my 430.. I was thinking that the V8's had bigger tips, but i guess it's the 98-00 vs 01+

like you said though ford, they probably just use the same part now for all, kind of like the balljoints..

The muffler is the same on all years. Im explaining the tips 98-00 vs 01-05 are different. 01+ are bigger.

I know, but the tips are the same part number across the years as well, so I just assume they use the same replacement.
