I'm planning to install an aFe Intake and HKS Hi-Power but I'm thinking about the Invidia Midpipes as well. What's the difference between the stock midpipes and the Invidia ones? I don't want to spend $350 and then fail the Illinois emissions test at the beginning of 2011 and have to take it off because of it. Thanks!

 

the invidia pipes deletes the secondary cats, dont know about the smog tests over there but ull pass the sniffer but it wont pass the visual if u guys have one

 

Do you get a check engine light from deleting them?

like vinconist said, you won't pass the visual if Illinois has one.

 

My relative owns a smog shop and I passed. The emissions part will pass because your primary cats are intact. Visual is nothing a 12-pack of your local technicians favorite beer can fix

 

daaaamn hks hi power with invidia?! lol its gonna be loud! anyways you'll pass emissions but it depends on who you go to for the test. some technicians will let you off visual and others wont.
