there aren't any.

everything readily available is either a short-ram, open-air intake (takeda, fujita, afe, k&n) or a closed-element type (f-sport, and to a lesser extent, joe z).

note that those are just a few brands.

You can search for EO numbers here:
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermk...es/amquery.php

Go to list of executive orders by device, select sort by manufacturer, then select air filter/intake modification.

You'll find that while Injen has an EO for their IS300 intake they do not have one for the 250/350.

Nobody does, other than F-sport/Lexus.

There might be one "pending" for Injens, but it's not there yet, thus not legal.

Did you even bother to look at the picture?
its obvious thats a short ram intake and like Kurtz said thats not legal.
If you wanna go ahead and buy it, thats fine.
But all the responses you are getting its exactly the opposite from what you are posting.

any options or any aftermarket products?

for instance, i custom engineered my own CAI solution via a duct that feeds into the stock box...along with the oem scoop. i am very happy with the results. maybe someday i'll find time to do a write-up and dyno it with and without...

since i don't feel like working...

i'm running a HKS filter and JoeZ intake also, and all i have is phone pics/vids.

old Honda intake duct (probably from my old rsx type-s):

here's the hole i cut out with a dremel (had to cut the box AND scoop pieces):

video of the duct rough fit into the hole:

duct rubber trimmed:

looking at the duct inlet through the hole next to the fog light:

plenty of air flow down in the fender but just for fun:

so you removed the stock snorkel and replaced it with a honda intake tube?

what did you do with the gaping hole where the stock snorkel used to be?

I honestly dont think you'll achieve anything different than is already happening. The stock snorkel is a direct feed to the intake box along a proper pathway with minimal turbulence coming directly from the upper grill area of the car.

I give you an A for effort definitely, but it may have been for naught.

Nope- stock snorkel is still completely intact and sealed properly. I have 2 snorkels now.

Also, the new hole was cut at a location that did not affect the oem snorkel's min. cross-sectional area. Thus, the limiting factor is now increased to the area at the intake box's square inlet, not the stock snorkel that necks down at one point.
Basically, the affective plenum volume (immediately available air) of the air box is increased...with more cold air.

I agree- it has potential to not produce the desired empirical results. However, the fundamental theory behind it is sound, and it was just a fun project on the car for a R&D engineer by day. At a min., I was just hoping for a slightly louder intake with less propensity for heatsoak.
