Default Mk1 Aristo 2JZGTE engine into Mk2 Lexus GS300

As per the title, how difficult it is to swap a 2JZGTE from a Mk1 Aristo into a Mk2 Lexus GS300? Yes, I know its much simpler to buy a 2JZGTE VVTi motor and do the transplant but here in my country, its basically very very difficult (not to mention expensive) to get hold of the VVTi motor.

well it depend on if who doing it,... if your doing it and got teh money and the patient.. then go for it.. but by the time u do that...i think u spend about the same amount or close.... whats the price diffenence? and where are you from?

FYI, I am from Brunei. I have found a front cut of a JZS147 Aristo V300 complete with gearbox, ecu, wiring loom etc for around USD$2k. But I am wondering if the mountings for the engines and gearbox are the same for mk1 and mk2?

the engine mounts are different. it won't be a bolt in affair. you will have to get some custom engine mount brackets made. and also the wiring won't be plug and play like it is with the vvti engine.
