jzs147 tt into gs300 conversion
Hey all new to the lexus forum but not new to reading your posts as they have helped me very much in the past
Over the past month i have read so many posts on gte swaps into my gs. Now i know that a 2jzgte vvti out of the jzs161 is the easiest plug and play swap but thats just no fun is it haha, plus i have exhausted all efforts in trying to find a front cut and none of our shops in the country have any in stock and quite frankly seem very disinterested in my money. I have happened to come across a gte non vvti out of an aristo jzs147 for only $2000 locally so its more then convenient. From what i have found the engine mounts must be mixed and matched (unsure of what mix exactly?) and the transmission mount have to be modified or have one custom made as well as the tailshaft. And i am aware that i have to run an aristo fuel pump hanger with a return line from the engine.
I am unable to find any information on what ecus to use and what loom exactly and what wiring difficulties i may encounter?
I dont care about keeping the vsc but i do wish for pretty much everything else to work if possible (climate control tach etc as i love the luxuries) I will also be ditching the stock twins and going singe turbo.
I am well experienced with all things mechanical etc and have done wiring (nothing as complex as an ecu) but have never done an engine swap.
Oh and $6000 is my budget but not exactly the limit.
Am i crazy or not haha.

Pole Position
There were two JZS161 half cuts on Gumtree a few weeks ago for around $3700 I think. Theres a few JZS160s that have been swapped for around $15k too, which may end up cheaper?
