Default want to remove the rosonators

so i have a v8.. a gs400!!! and want to hear more of the engine so i have looked into removing the resonators..im wondering if i should even bother doing it.. i am very tempted since my friend will charge me around 80 buks to remove em and replace em with straight pipes.. well has anyone done it and how does it sound.. also im in CA i dint think it will affect emissions..? .

It wont effect emissions, I had it done on my Gs300, and I think its a little loud (but thats probably my racing headers/midpipe/hks exhaust helping it out lol) Search youtube, there are some clips on there.

i also saw a few people remove the stock muffler and replace it with straight pipe .. it sounds better... this way you can keep the resonators.. and this way you can add a flange to the straight pipe, swapping the stock mufflers and straight pipe anytime and making it easier
