Default Who's leaking?

Curious at what point our cars will begin leaking oil on the floor. If anyone has a leak problem, please state the year /model and mileage when the leak first occured and where the leak is coming from. Wonder if there would be any pattern.

My car was leaking tranny fluid from the behind.. I drive a 2002 GS300. I took my car in to the dealer and they had to replace a whole new tranny and torque converter. My car at the time of the problem had 12K miles.

Main seal went at 42K. Lucky I noticed the tiny red drops before they turned into a big red puddle. Repairs covered by warranty, no new problems [leak wise] in the last 18K.

Mark is the leak comming from the rear of the car? If yes i would take it back to the dealer and have them check. For me, i found a spot of oil from the rear and i took it to the dealer and they found out that my tranny was leaking, to solve this problem, the dealer had to replace a new tranny, and new torque corverter for my car. THey also found out that my clutch was also burned out. While u still have warranty, i would take it back immediately.

Valve cover gasket (driver side only) on my 99 GS400 got a leak at 60K. No drops on the floor but oil on the enginer. Repaired under warranty. Now at 75K the new gasket is leaking.

Only thing that drips out the bottom of my 98 GS300 is condensation from the air-con evaporator! Though I'm sure that petrol (gas) must be leaking out from somewhere every time I get on a nice flat smooth piece of road where there are no police or cameras around!

Finally got to the bottom of the oil leak. A piece of road debris I hit doing about 60 on a dark road took out one tire and the oil pan itself. Prestige Lexus took GREAT CARE of me!!!
