you could search at www.autoanything.com for universal magnaflow muffler. Local muffler shops usually also have it with higher prices & sometimes could be a rip off.

Soooo sorry it took me this long to get back to this thread. I have been traveling for work.....
This is a video I made to show the sound. It was the best I could do with the camera I had.

Great vids, thanks for taking the time! Athough I'm a little confused now since the amazon page says, "Magnaflow Stainless Steel 2.25” Round Muffler is designed to reduce the amount of noise emitted by the exhaust system and to increase engine efficiency."
So does it make it deeper or no? You mentioned a slight g35 sound, but also mentioned you liked your exhaust to be on the quoted sound. So could you compare to stock?

Ok its like this.....
Mufflers/resonators in general are designed to reduce the sound of exhaust systems over having NO mufflers at all. That having been said, they were probably making that statement as compared to a straight pipe (no muffler at all)
Now with our cars, the mufflers were designed with QUIET as the first priority. The stock resonator had the same dimensions as the magnaflow one I stated above, in all areas except diameter of the canister. I think the stock one was about 7 inches around as opposed to the 4 inches of the magnaflow. This means that the magnaflow will have less sound deadening materials in its 4 inches as compared to the stock one. That alone will make it slightly louder than stock..
Now that was just a basic intro... There is sooo much more that goes into it like the number of perforations in the canister to tune the sound (think flute. you change the sound with the holes)....But all that is too complicated for here... To answer your question most directly I will just say that the Magnaflow has less sound dampening and is tuned to make more sound than our stock one....
To be honest, I didnt think it sounded like a G35 at first. I blew past my cousin after i had put it on and he told me it did. Sometimes I think it does then sometimes it doesnt
As far as compared to stock.....Stock my car made NO exhaust sounds that I could hear from inside the car while driving. All I heard was the intake at about 4000rpm (both stock and later with the JoeZ). Now I can hear it and its not loud at all... Up to this morning another IS350 owner had pulled up to me at a traffic light and asked what exhaust was on the car....lol

hey guys, sorry to bring this forum back up but is that resonator a bolt on or a welded part? im thinking about ordering one to pair it up with my m2 exhaust to see what it would sound like! thanks!
