Default SOS - NEED HELP WITH GS400 Problem

Hey guys, I need some help here. My dad took my car to a friend's house up in Santa Monica Cali and called me just now telling me that the car just shut off. When he goes to start the car it does but then shuts off really quick, like 2 seconds later. The only mods that I have that might even do anything are a Weapon-R intake without an ECU. Any help would be appreciated. I'm thinking it may be a vacuum line problem, but if any of you guys got any ideas please post on here or PM Ethan (static911) so he can call me on my cell. Thankx guys

I'm assuming the intake has been on awhile. My take is the Throttle Position Sensor is sending a bogus error to the engine management computer. It then shuts the engine down since it can't correlate the throttle position.

This problem has been fairly common among GS cars. I had mine changed (under warrantee) just over a year ago. Usually just restarting the car resets the error. Sometimes I hear you need to disconnect the battery to really reset the ECU to default conditions.

I could be wrong but it sounds like this is the problem

Good Luck.

Martin, check all the hoses. Also, disconnect the NEG. to reset your ECU. Hope that works...

Problem solved, here's what it was........the silicone hose connecting the 2 intake pipes had a leak (aka crack in it). Good thing I had a few extra of these silicone hoses, I replaced it and was good to go. I CANT WAIT till the 1 piece INJEN intake pipe comes out, i'll be the first one's to order it.
