Default IS250 Official Dyno thread

i know im still a noob to this site and being a IS250 owner... searched and didnt really see a thread like this.

I recently traded a Z4 BMW and aftermarket products for that car were outragous in price for VERY LITTLE HP/TQ gains.... i found aftermarket products for the Lexus is less than half of the $$$ than the mods for the BMW were.

if you have any mods on your car and did a before/after dyno please post up in here.... what mods it is and your dyno chart. im interested in seeing what this little 200hp lexus is capable of!

I did see that someone bolted on some Headers recently and gained almost 18hp... so any idea what the most you can get out of the car with all bolt-ons and a good tune?

Most you will probably get is around 30hp and there's zero tuning for the car as of now.

Intake- between 0-5 hp.

Exhaust- 5-7 hp for the legal ones, 8-10 for the illegal ones.

Headers- 15-20 hp, 100% illegal in all 50 states.

And that's it.

So total of, maybe, 35 hp on the best day and failing emissions anywhere in the US... at a cost of around $2500-3000 depending if you do your own work or not.

Versus just spending $3500 or so to have bought a 350 instead with 102 more hp stock.

Well, nothing has made its way to the good ol' USA but here is an interesting conversion from a shop in S. Africa.

saw that earlier today... i'd prob be better off dropping it off at a local race shop and have them do a custom build or something. Im sure it would prob cost roughly the same..... a sheit ton lol
