which ecu and intake combo will be best for overall power increase without too much in noise or added roughness?

ALL the intakes are going to add noise. If you want to keep it down, I think you should look into getting the TOM'S or TRD replacement air filter (allows more flow supposidly) and a APEXi S-AFC (a piggyback fuel computer)

http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_safc.asp

For the TOM'S or TRD products, hit up Steve Ganz @ 800-90-TOYOTA or PM SUPRATRD....

IMHO I would go with the SRT Intake and ECU. Thats what I did, and no complaints. SRT has already done the research, and development for the intake, and it is straight forward. Its is the cheapest ECU/Intake combo. Plus if you have problems installing it, many CL members have it, and can help. But don't expect a BIG jump in HP. Thats the problem most people have thinking an intake will add on 100 hp.

I recommend RMM (contrary to pop opinion) if you can find it for less than $199. A filter is a filter and it's the quietest of the lot. Why? there's no piping - just a bracket to house the filter and the stock ecu. I've had zero probs with it and got mine cheap. REALLY cheap. So I'm happy.

in my experience, i tried so many cone filters and intake pipes available out there and none of them seemed to work just right.
so, i decided to use a drop-in stock replacement filter which wz made my Blitz, costs me only $45.00, and it made a slight diff. like the other guy said, i believe stock replacement is the best way. but if you want looks, u can use that chrome piping thy all have out there....

either use blitz, trd or even hks.......thy will work better than those cone filters......

kapdori:

Not so sound so self serving, but if you check out the other thread in this section regarding the SRT Intake System w/ Race Ecu, you should gain another viable Intake selection, as it is a complete intake system & not just a pipe by itself.

Feel welcome in asking any further questions that you may have, as I realize that there are always new waves of Lexus enthusiasts who might not know who or what Swift Racing is.

Thanks.

Go with the proven system. Swift Racing. Order it before the price goes up.
