Default LSD to GS430-02

Hi.

I have read the old thread on here about the LSD/vsc.

I so bad want to find a LSD for my gs430. So what i come up with is that i have to find a Supra auto TT LSD? Can someone please clear this up for me and point me to a company or dealership that can answer my questions.

/Sebastian

There are a few people selling their LSD in the classified section. PM them as they are familiar with the setup. There is also a DIY section on here.

Keep in mind that eventhough the Supra Auto TT LSD is a direct bolt-on to our cars it does have a different ratio of gears in there. Stock open diff in the GS400/GS430 has 3.27 gears whereas the Supra TT LSD has 3.76 gears. Your car will accelerate quicker at any speed but will be mechanically limited to a top speed of around 130mph (instead of the electronically limited 147mph). You will burn a little more gas too; ~1-2mpg more.

The other route is to buy a TRD or Kaaz LSD. These LSD's must be installed in your stock 3.27 differential. They are cheaper to buy but the install is more expensive than the Supra LSD route. All in all...in the end, it works out to be close to the same - cost wise.

Good luck!

Thanx, Ye i know about the gearing! But i rather want my gs to be more aggressive from 0-100mph rather than a cruise missile on highway! So u have any links to recomend about ppl havind supra LSD instaled and the TRD one? more than ppl in the classified section?

Thanx

This is GOOD! These things last forever. FYI...Carson Toyota/Lexus sells this unit (well, the RMM LSD unit which is the EXACT same thing as the supra TT LSD) for around $1400 new. I would jump on this deal!

Why the cut-out valve though, it's a Lexus.

Because occasionally you don't want it to be a Lexus
